Whenever you hear the words cowboy boots, you probably envision cowboys wearing them. Back in the early days, that was probably true however today not just cowboys are wearing them and with so many different styles to choose from, anybody can buy and wear a pair of cowboy boots.

Western and Roper are the two basic styles of boots with the western style having a tall boot shaft and at least a half to one inch heal. Roper style boots have shorter a shaft along with a shorter heel and is better suited for every day walking about.

Back in the old west cattle drive days, and actually even with today’s cattle drives, one of the best investments a cowboy could make was and is a good pair of cowboy boots. They higher quality boots are mostly hand crafted and come with decorative stitching so some boots can actually cost more than 500 bucks a pair.
